There are a lot of
animals in the world. They are small and big, they live in
different countries. But there are some `special` animals and
people think a lot about them.
Why is it so ? Why are
they `special`? Because they are in danger and we must protect
them.
For example, pandas
live only in one country in the world- in China. They live in the
mountains and can eat only bamboo. There are only 500-1,000 pandas
in China and 100 animals in the zoos. They are very beautiful-
black and white and very friendly.
There are six types of
tiger in the world. They live in Siberia, India and South-East
Asia. 50 years ago a lot of tigers lived in tropical forests of
Asia. In 1970 there were 5,000 tigers. There are now some 8,000
tigers living in the world.
Most rhinos live in
Africa. There are two African types: the black rhino, which lives
in East Africa and the white rhino, which is found in Southern
Africa. There are also some rhinos in Asia, in India. There are
10,000 rhinos in the world no because people kill a lot of then
every year.
All `special` animals are in the `Red Book` of the
world and we protect them.
